The Lisp reader discards comments; they do not become part of the Lisp objects which represent the program within the Lisp system. </p> <p>The ‘<samp>#@<var>count</var></samp>’ construct, which skips the next <var>count</var> characters, is useful for program-generated comments containing binary data.
